INFORMATION DAY HELD BY THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS OF THE GFE ON THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME OF THE INSTITUTION

The Faculty of Economics of Gál Ferenc University held an information day on the Erasmus+ programme of the institution on Wednesday in Békéscsaba. At the event, students were mainly informed about the study opportunities abroad.

Around 70-80 students gathered on Wednesday morning in the main lecture hall of the Faculty of Economics of Gál Ferenc University in Békékéscsaba to learn about the Erasmus+ opportunities offered by the institution. Mónika Csefkó, the university’s Erasmus+ coordinator, spoke to the students about the benefits of the programme, among other things, as she said that those who start studying abroad make great progress. She said that on these occasions they also help students to submit applications, as it is not exactly an easy process, but she believes that it is definitely worth it.

– At the moment, four students are studying abroad, three are on study mobility, one is on an internship and seven other students will be leaving in two weeks. We think these are encouraging numbers and applications are already coming in for the September academic year, so something may be on the way,” he stressed.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gál Ferenc Gál said that most of the students spend a semester mainly in Belgium, but they also have the opportunity to study in several other European countries. Zoltán Árpási pointed out that, in addition to useful information, the young people could take part in a number of activities, such as quizzes, games and even hear stories from Erasmus students who are currently studying abroad.

– Another exciting aspect of today’s programme was the arrival from abroad of three of our students who are currently studying abroad, who are on a training programme in Belgium, and one student who is on an internship in Turkey. So the visitors were able to see live that they are happy and excited to be out there,” he said.
