GFU’s Secretary General for Foreign Affairs, Dr. István Thékes participated in the spring meeting of the International Committee 2024 of the MRC.

The Secretary General of the GFU, Dr. István Thékes participated in the meeting of the International Committee of the MRC on 30 May. The event took place at the Gellért Campus of Corvinus University. The event, chaired by Dr. Eszter Kovács, was attended by Rodrigo Ballester, Ministerial Commissioner for Internationalisation of Hungarian Higher Education and Research, who spoke about the internationalisation opportunities of the near future. Afterwards, Richárd Bodrogi, Director General of the Tempus Public Foundation, spoke about the current difficulties of the ERASMUS programme, while emphasising the new mobility possibility for model universities, the Pannon Programme. In addition to the presentations, the participants were able to see a presentation by the ICETEX office in Colombia, which explained the possibilities for mobility to and from the South American country. One of the main events of the programme was the presentation of Chinese universities, who are participating in the China-Hungary Board for Higher Education Cooperation.
