On 7 December 2023, the Award Ceremony of the Excellence Scholarship Programme of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) was held at the Budapest Congress Centre.

The Excellence Scholarship Programme was established in 2016 by the MNB to support and recognise students studying at undergraduate, master’s and postgraduate level in higher education, economics and business studies in Hungary who have achieved outstanding results in their academic, scientific and community achievements.

From this year, students of the Faculty of Economics at the Ferenc Gál University were also eligible to apply for the scholarship, for which they had to submit a project demonstrating their academic, scientific and community achievements. On this basis, the professional jury ranked the applications received and awarded three students this year the scholarship of HUF 50,000 per month for 10 months.

At the ceremony, three students from the Faculty of Economics, Brúnó Durkó BSc Finance and Accounting, Dávid Ráfet Saral BSc Economics and Management and Dorottya Sztanoj BSc Economics and Management, received the prestigious award from Vice Presidents Barnabás Virág and Csaba Kandrács.
