MORE THAN A THOUSAND PEOPLE RAN IN SZEGED AT THE CHARITY RUN FOR THE AGOTA FOUNDATION

The two higher education institutions of Szeged, the University of Szeged and the Gál Ferenc University, as well as the Csongrád-Csanád County Government Office organised a charity run in Szeged to support young people living in child protection care.
The opening ceremony was addressed by Dr. László Salgó, Archbishop of the Csongrád-Csanád County Government Office, Prof. Dr. László Rovó, Rector of the University of Szeged and Prof. Dr. László Dux, Rector of the Gál Ferenc University.
The race started from the Dóm Square, in front of the Assumption Church. Children competed in the 100, 400 and 800 m distances, while the adults ran 3, 6 and 12 km and 4×3 km relay races. The race was also attended by staff and foster parents from the St. Agota Child Protection Service.
A selfie point and BYD cars were also waiting for athletes and spectators at the Dóm Square.
