On April 11, 2024, the leadership of the Pontifical Salesians University of Rome and the Gál Ferenc University of Szeged signed a cooperation agreement in Rome. The delegation, led by the Rector Prof. László Dux, has further enhanced the international scientific embeddedness of the Gál Ferenc University by establishing this cooperation: in addition to the creation of joint research projects, both parties are committed to the reciprocal support of study and teaching mobility, the preparation of joint publications and the provision of reciprocal visiting lecturers. Under the agreement, students from the universities will also have the opportunity to choose a consultant from the partner institution for their theses. The signing ceremony took place on the campus of the Pontifical Salesians University of Rome, where Prof. don Andrea Bozzolo, Rector, together with the Secretary General, don Jaroslaw Rochowiak, and Professor don Ubaldo Montisci, received the five-member Hungarian delegation. During the official visit, the University of Gál Ferenc was represented by Bishop László Kiss-Rigó, Canon József Kovács, Rector of the Saint Gellért Seminary, Levente Serfőző, Vice-Rector for Education, and Márton Róth, Director of International Relations of the Diocese of Szeged-Csanád, along with Rector Laszlò Dux.
