Gál Ferenc University is an active participant in the internationalization of higher education. Our students and lecturers are constantly travelling across Europe, some of them to other continents, to deepen their knowledge and to test their skills in an international context. Funding is mainly provided by the ERASMUS KA1 program. ERASMUS is not just a single pillar, but there are also opportunities for strategic cooperation. Three years ago, the GFU already participated in a similar program, then in the field of religion. This time a KA2 project in the field of early childhood education is being implemented with the Helsinki Association of Primary Schools and Kindergartens and the Portuguese educational institution Tapete Voado. In the process of six international meetings, professionals (including staff from the Palanta Nursery Network, which cooperates with GFU) will create an innovative and interactive exhibition. The event will enable children to learn 21st century sustainability skills through innovative playful methodologies.
The official opening of the home event of our international ERASMUS KA2 project “Sustainable Development in Early Childhood Education” will take place on Monday 6 May at 10am at the Franciscan Visitor Centre in Lower Town.
The exhibition, which will be organized in collaboration with Finnish and Portuguese experts, will be open until 12 May. Preschool groups, children and adults are invited to visit the museum. Preschool groups and the general public can view and learn by playing with the installations between 10am and 1pm and between 3pm and 6pm.
The theme of the exhibition is the teachability of sustainable development in early childhood education.
