Faculty members and students of the Gál Ferenc University said goodbye to the academic year in a festive mass on June 14 in the Cathedral. At the end of the academic year, nearly forty students who graduated from Szeged received their diplomas. At the end of the academic year, the honorary graduates were also greeted, and honorary titles were awarded.
Mayor Mihály Babák of Szarvas received recognition from the rector for his cooperation with the management of the University and the Faculty of Education in the field of higher education, for his work supporting teacher training in Szarvas for six terms as mayor of Szarvas.
The prestigious title of “Excellent Training Place of Gál Ferenc University” was awarded to Dugonics András Piarista High School, Primary Art School and College, as well as Karolina Kindergarten, Primary School, High School, Primary Art School and College.
Gábor Borbola, a lecturer at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in Gyula, received the “Gál Ferenc University Faculty Memorial Award” in recognition of his high-quality teaching and professional work.
Director of Education Katalin Kovács became the “Employee of the Year at Gál Ferenc University” in recognition of her more than three decades of fruitful work at Gál Ferenc University and its Faculty of Pedagogy.
Graduate student Dominika Csikós received the “Gál Ferenc University Memorial Award” for her self-sacrificing community organizing work at the University’s events, as well as her outstanding academic results.
