Our lecturer, Dr. István Thékes, college professor at Gál Ferenc University, successfully completed his habilitation at the University of Pécs on 2 December 2025, following the doctoral degree he obtained in 2016.

As part of the habilitation procedure, he delivered a 45-minute classroom lecture and a 60-minute scientific lecture, followed by a 15-minute summary in English.

The title of the classroom lecture was:
Developing Digital Foreign Language Teaching Materials

The title of the scientific lecture was:
Subtitle-Supported Comprehension of Visual Content and the Effects of Subtitles on Language Acquisition

The committee awarded the candidate nearly the maximum possible score, and the three-professor panel highly commended his publication record and research activities.
