In addition to general student advocacy, our Student Union aims to offer students the widest possible range of sport and cultural opportunities. We are closely involved in the organization of Scientific Student Conferences and traditional events such as the Freshmen’s Camp, the Freshmen’s Ball or the Faculty Day.

Dear Fellow-Students,

If you ask any one of us what university life means to us, the answer would be unanimous: a cohesive community, creative programmes and effective learning outcomes. That’s why we decided to apply for different positions in the Student Union.

We do not lack creativity, so we keep planning various programmes to bring our fellow students together, thus creating an active community with a positive atmosphere.

Welcome message from the Student Union at the Faculty of Theology

Our faculty is located in the most iconic place in Szeged, in the shadow of the Cathedral in Dóm Square. This is the place where we will acquire the basic knowledge that will enable us to work effectively in our field in the service of God and society.

In the spirit of Professor Ferenc Gál, we also confess: “it is Jesus Christ alone who can answer the ultimate questions of human existence and the innermost desires of the human soul.” We study here to pass on this truth to society in a youthful way and in accordance with the challenges of our time.

We are motivated by one goal, and this goal brings us together. This is not an individual mission. It shapes us into a community that can celebrate, be educated, play sports together and become friends in the joy of learning the truth.

The Student Union provides optimal conditions for this natural process, both among students and also between students and lecturers. Freshers’ afternoons and freshers’ balls are a way of getting to know new students and introducing them to the community.

Cycling tours, teacher – student  football matches and other competitions bring together individual talents in a friendly atmosphere. Visits to the theatre and the cinema add a colourful cultural experience to everyday life, leading to long discussions between lectures. This way all those years spent here mean not just work, but also provide students with a homely atmosphere and live environment from which to draw later.
